Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Guwahati Region was established in the year 1973. Over the years, the Region has been expanding with more and more number of Schools and presently the number of Vidyalayas reaching the figure 45 as per the new re-organisation of Vidyalayas and addition of 7 new regions of KVS. KVS Guwahati Region now comprises of Vidyalayas in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and North Bengal.
THE REGIONAL OFFICE STARTED TO FUNCTION FROM ITS OWN BUILDING w.e.f. APRIL 2005.
