The project 'Fresh & Foul' lead by Ms Zeenat F.Rashid, Primary Teacher Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon, Guwahati was declared winner of the Student Space Scientist Programme Level 2 Group 2.
|
Earlier on 21 June 2008 the team was short listed for the tele interaction with Scientists from ISRO and judges. Miss Spandita Sharma, Miss Sumita Sarkar, Miss Arjal Jyoti and Miss Barnali Chakraborty form the team members. This is the only team selected in this group from Eastern India for more details

Two websites of Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon, Guwahati has been included in the thinkquest library this year. Out of the 18 Websites selected from India 09 were from Kendriya Vidyalayas, submitted for the thinkquest International 2008. The result was declared on 29 May 2008. for more details ...

The ThinkQuest Library is a world-renowned resource for educational sites and web-based lessons created for students, by students. Thousands of sites are distributed amongst numerous educational categories, and can be accessed by anyone researching a particular subject. As well as showcasing sites created by students working together, the ThinkQuest Library is intended to be a learning resource for students. The main audience intended for ThinkQuest sites created by students is other students. This means that the educational content of ThinkQuest sites is in a format that is easier for students to use. All sites in the ThinkQuest Library are created by teams of students for the annual ThinkQuest Competition. Sites that complete the Competition are displayed in the ThinkQuest Library. Over 7,000 websites created by students around the world who have participated in a ThinkQuest Competitions.

21 st Century Learning Institute Singapore from 26 - 29 February 2008: Mr.Anutosh Deb, Art Teacher ,Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon is among the four teachers and a Principal nominated from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, India to participate in the Regional 21st Century Learning Institute at Nanyang Executive Centre of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. This institute brings together teachers and administrators of schools and school districts from APAC countries.
