Miss Dhruvika Verma, a student of Class 7th of Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangia has been awarded 3rd Prize at the 2nd International Drawing contest for children on safety at level crossings on the occasion of the International Level Crossing Awareness Day 2012 (ILCAD) organised by UIC International Union of Railways on 7 June. The competition is open to children worldwide.

A team of students from Kendriya Vidyalaya Khanapara, Guwahati consisting of Uddipana Kakati, Abhilasha Lahkar, Debashri Raj Borah, Kakoli Roy, Kasturi Sarma, all class XI students guided by Mrs Remya Parameswar Iyer, PGT (Bio Tech) presented their project on “Comparative soil and groundwater analysis for fluoride content and innovative method of defluoridisation in Guwahati region” at 18th International Conference of Chemists and Biologists from 28 to 30 Jan 2012 held at Guwahati.

KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA NFR MALIGAON BASKETBALL TEAM EMERGES AS FIRST FINALIST AT THE INTER KVS NATIONAL BASKET BALL SPORTS MEET 2011 |

Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon Basketball (Boys) under 19 participated in the First Inter KVS National Basketball Sports Meet 2011 held at Uddhampur from 30 November to 02 December 2011 and emerged the First Finalist. The team has undergone training under their coach Ms Mital Das and Mrs Bonti Das PET. They received a cash prize of Rs.3600. Seen in the photograph is the Team with Hon'ble Commissioner KVS, Shri Avinash Dixit IDAS.

Ms. Joyita Sarkar, Ms.Sameera Alapati, Ms.Pragya Mishra, Master Sourabh Prakash Roy, Master Mohit Singh and
Master G. Mutthukumaran of Kendriya Vidyalaya NERIST won the second position in the 10 minutes Video in KVS Tagore Mahotsav. Master Sourish Das of Kendriya Vidyalaya NFR Maligaon won the Second position in Power Point Presentation (English) in Tagore Mahotsav competition and Ms. Anurekha Deb and Ms.Tulika Chakroborty won the 3rd & 5th positions respectively in the Logo Design Competition in the KVS Akshar Aakar Logo & Motto Competition.
